Friday's CSI4* 1.50m presented by Optical Center in Canteleu, France, went to Yves Vanderhasselt (BEL) and the 12-year-old stallion Merald van't Zorgvliet (Emerald x Nonstop).

Fourteen out of the 68 horse-and-rider combinations at start cleared the first-round track set by the French course designer Gregory Bodo and joined the deciding jump-off. Crossing the finish line in 39.28 seconds, Vanderhasselt and Merald van't Zorgvliet took the win in this class counting for the Longines Ranking Group D, ahead of Victor Laudet (FRA) and Etadam du Breche (Ustinov x Nabab de Reve) in second in 39.44. Romain Duguet (SUI) and Hunger Games du Champ du Bois (Elvis ter Putte x Mytens) placed third after clocking a time of 40.08.

With the fastest time of the jump-off – 34.70 – but with a fence down, Constant van Paesschen (BEL) and Diaz du Thot (Ready Boy des Forets x Diams du Grasset) had to settle for fourth, followed by Marie Demonte (FRA) and Epona du Quesnoy (Quilaura du Seigneur x Nabab du Reve) in fifth – also on four faults.
